Jax, Winnie and Charlie live the quintessential NoCo Life. Weekends swimming at the Poudre River, snuggles with their people (who both work in veterinary medicine!) and all the love and attention their little doggo hearts desire.
Just weeks after knee surgery Lisa bravely maneuvered the rocky shore at Picnic Rock to this incredible downed tree next to the river. With her roommate, Reve (now Charlie’s person), my assistant Frank, and I all working together we somehow managed to guide the dogs up on top of the log for this image.
The pups happily posed on a blanket which seemed fitting of a Picnic theme at this spot. And they all had the cutest matching sweaters. At the end everyone frollicked in the river. Even Winnie made her first brave venture into the water!
I am sure if the dogs could talk they would agree they had “The Best Day Ever”, which is my ultimate goal.
The cover of NoCo for Doggos, A Dog’s Guide to Northern Colorado needed to show an iconic Northern Colorado location, an epic pose, and have spacing to include the text for the title and information. Of the hundreds of images created for this book this one fit all the criteria.
