Where do we start?

Start with a conversation. Reach out through the contact form and Monique will get back to you to learn what you’re hoping to create. From there, every session begins with a planning meeting so nothing is left to guesswork.

What does a photography session actually look like?

It starts with a planning meeting via Zoom so Monique understands exactly what you’re hoping to create. Then comes the session itself, at the Fort Collins studio or on location, designed to feel relaxed, fun, and like the best day ever. Afterward you’ll have a guided design and order meeting where you choose your finished pieces. The whole experience is seamless from start to finish.

What if my dog won't sit still?

Perfect, that’s what Monique is here for. After 13+ years working with animals of every temperament, a wiggly dog is just part of the fun. The session is designed to work with your pet’s personality, not against it.

What if my pet misbehaves during the session?

Honestly, it happens and it’s never a problem. Animals are unpredictable and that’s part of what makes them wonderful. Monique has photographed thousands of animals over the years, including countless rescues with every temperament imaginable, and has the patience, experience, and genuine love of animals to roll with whatever the session brings.

What if my cat is shy?

Shy cats are welcome and accounted for. Monique works at the animal’s pace, not the clock’s. A little patience goes a long way and some of the most beautiful results come from the quietest animals.

Can I include multiple pets in my photo session?

Absolutely. The more the merrier. Dogs, cats, horses, goats, farm animals, fosters, therapy animals. If they are part of your family they belong in your session.

Do you come to us?

Yes. Sessions are available at Silver Paw Studio or on location at a spot that feels right for your family. Monique travels within approximately one hour of Fort Collins. Favorite local spots include Arapaho Bend Natural Area and Horsetooth Reservoir, or bring a location idea to the planning conversation and we’ll make it work.

Help, I don't know what to wear?

You’ll get guidance on this during your planning meeting so you never have to figure it out alone. The short answer is: wear something that feels like you, is comfortable, and makes you happy when you look in the mirror. Monique will help you with the rest.

Where do I put my hands?

This is one of the most common questions and the answer is simple: Monique will guide you. Nobody is expected to know how to pose. The whole session is directed in a way that feels natural and relaxed so you never have to think about it.

What if I hate having my photo taken?

You are in the right place. Monique spent years on the other side of the camera herself and built Silver Paw Studio specifically around making the experience feel easy, fun, and better than expected. Most people who walk in nervous walk out surprised by how much fun they had.

Are you inclusive?

Completely and without reservation. Silver Paw Studio welcomes every family, every body, every background, and every configuration. LGBTQ+ families, non-traditional families, blended families, all shapes and sizes. In this space everyone belongs and everyone is worth celebrating.

How far in advance should I book?

Popular dates, especially spring and fall, fill several weeks out. The earlier you reach out the better, but don’t let timing stop you from starting the conversation.

Do you offer both indoor and outdoor sessions?

Yes. Silver Paw Studio has a warm, fully equipped indoor studio space and Monique also works on location throughout Northern Colorado.
