10 Must Have Gifts for Pet Photographers

Do you have a pet photographer in your life and have no idea what gifts to shower on them?

I have you covered! For dog, cat, horse or even people photographers. Beginners or pros alike are covered. And a variety of budgets!

All of these can be seen in the YouTube video here.

1. Clear Catnip

Cat Photographers on your list will be saved hours of editing with this gift. Instead of using little catnip flakes which take hours to edit out of photos, simply use a catnip spray!

2. Squeaky Toy Inserts

No matter how many squeaky toys you have they will disappear faster than matching socks. There is never a bad time to stock up on squeaky toys for dog photographers.

3. Wagon

I can’t even explain how much I love my wagon. Over the years I have had 3 or 4 but now I finally have one I bought just for my studio (and didn’t have to steal from my kids). Surprise the dog themed socks off your loved one with a wagon. Endless fun and utility. Trust me.

4. Spider Holster

Ever think that pet photography is a pain in the neck? After lugging around a camera with a huge lense and a bag of accessories with a traditional camera strap you will experience an excruciating pain in the neck. Gift a Spider Holster and save on chiropractic visits.

5. 5 in 1 Reflector

For the beginner in your life a 5 in 1 reflector is inexpensive and endlessly useful. With several surfaces to help add, subtract or diffuse light these should be in every kit. Sorry about the learning curve in learning to fold the thing though.

6. Knee Pads

Pet photographers are often on the ground. Concrete, gravel, dirt, sand. We strive to be at the level of the subject. It hurts but it’s worth it. Get some stylish or practical knee savers.

7. Rocketbook and Frixion Pens

My obsession with Rocketbooks may never be satiated. They keep release new items from tiny notebooks to planners to beacons. Oh and don’t get me started on the rainbow selection of Frixion pens. Save some trees and gift a space age notebook to your fav pet photog. Or really anyone.

8. Coffee & Burritos I would eat coffee and burritos every day for breakfast given the choice. A gift card to your fav local shop would be much appreciated by the pet photographer in your life. We need that fuel for hyper puppies and bouncy kittens!

9. Lingo Book

There are many, many good business books on the market but this book is my favorite. If your pet photographer is struggling with connecting and serving their ideal clients they need this book. Jeff is the podcast creator and host of The Self Employed Life Podcast and his next book of the same name releases May 2021. And he’s my friend. 10 out of 10 get this book.

10. Monique’s Merch

Of course you and your pet photographers need some of my quirky merch! FurTographer shirts, vintage inspired Cat Posters, stickers, mugs, socks and more!

Hope this helps you find some purrrfect gifts for the pet photographers in your life! Be sure to check out the accompanying video and subscribe while you are there. Thanks and Merry Christmas!
